NEW YEAR 2011

Welcome New Year 2011. Let us think anew, plan meaningfully, work hard to translate new planning into action with virtue, decide judiciously, correct erroneous approaches through proper analysis keeping in mind the disastrous effect of POPULISM.Only & only then we may regain our past glory. May ALMIGHTY give us required sense of values that are being the cry of a tiny minority in the society.

NEW ASSIGNMENT

I joined Tourism Department on 6th October 2010 leaving KIT on the previous day. I think that my new assignment will help me to gather more experience from different directions. I hope that the KIT authority will involve themselves for betterment of Rabindra Sarovar with the help of the  sincere & benevolent users there. I convey my gratitude towards my colleagues at KIT for their sincere cooperation in rendering my services there.

MINISTER VISITED KOLKATA IMPROVEMENT TRUST

On 30th June 2010 Sri Ashok Bhattacharya, the Hon'ble MIC, Municipal Affairs & Urban Development Departments visited headquarters of Kolkata Improvement Trust together with Mr. Debashis Sen, IAS, the Principal Secretary, U.D. Department and Mr. Vivek Bhardwaj, IAS, the CEO, KMDA and took a scheduled meeting with the KIT officers in connection with the execution of different programmes already undertaken and ensuing celebration of 100 years of KIT. The Hon'ble MIC laid emphasis on the speedy execution of the schemes in phases and he advised to fix up targets at the ends of months of October'10 / December'10 and February'11. In respect of celebration of 100 years of KIT the Hon'ble MIC proposed for a Research Paper on activities of KIT with special focus on the schemes exclusively meant for the poorest of the Society and the ideas, contribution and connection of the Great and Historical Personalities like Rabindranath Tagore, Netaji Subhas Chandra Basu etc. towards Kolkata Improvement Trust. Mr. Debashis Sen, IAS, the Principal Secretary, U.D. Department assured all administrative assistances so that KIT could function with desirable pace. Regarding recruitment of some important posts he advised to place the relevant papers before him on 1st July 2010.
